Write Wedding Programs

Wedding programs can be several pages or one sheet of paper and they can list every detail of the event or be a simple summary of what will happen. How you choose to write your wedding programs is up to you but, whether you choose traditional or contemporary, wedding programs often have these steps in common.

Instructions

    • 1

Create a heading on a page, or place on a front cover, the names of the couple, the date of the wedding and the location.

    • 2

List the wedding party. Give their name, position in the wedding party, and perhaps their relation to the bride and groom such as, sister of the bride or friend of the groom.

    • 3

Give the events in the order they will happen such as bridal procession, prayer or song from cousin. It is also a good idea to name the music being played in each section or the name of songs sung.

    • 4

Add a thank you from the bride and groom at the end when you write the wedding programs. This is a great place for the couple to thank their parents and anyone who greatly helped with the preparation of the event.
