How to Dye Your Hair with Liquid Peroxide

Liquid peroxide can lighten your hair without the harsh chemicals in hair dye that damage hair follicles. Peroxide accents the natural tones in your hair by lightening your hair colors a few shades, promoting your natural highlights to be more vivid. Blondes can become more blonde, and people with black hair can become brunettes.

• Peroxide Spray bottle Comb

1. Prepare a liquid peroxide mixture. Combine a mixture of half hydrogen peroxide and half water to a clean spray bottle.

2. Mist peroxide into your hair. Spray the peroxide and water mixture directly into your roots. Flip layers of your hair one at a time to easily reach the next row of roots. After you've sprayed all of the roots, continue misting the length of your hair.

3. Use a comb to evenly distribute the peroxide through your hair. Brush from your roots all the way down to the ends of your hair. Reapply peroxide if you reveal any dry areas.

4. Activate the peroxide. The sun's rays activate peroxide's bleaching power, activating the lightening process. Sit in the sun with the peroxide in your hair for approximately 20 minutes.

5. Rinse. Clean your hair thoroughly with shampoo. Conditioner is also recommended after applying peroxide as it might dry your hair.

6. Repeat the peroxide process. Apply peroxide every other day until you have successfully reached your desired hair color.

Tips & Warnings

• Never allow peroxide to sit in your hair for more than 45 minutes at a time.
