Instructions

    • 1

Microwave the water and the instant coffee in a mug for one minute at the high setting. This will help dissolve the instant coffee before it goes into the blender.

    • 2

Add sugar to the mug of microwaved coffee. Stir with a spoon. Pour it into a mixing bowl, then add six cubes of ice. Stir the mixture so it cools as the ice melts.

    • 3

Pour in the half-and-half once nearly all the ice has melted. Stir again. Pour everything from the bowl into a blender. Add chocolate syrup to the blender.

    • 4

Add the rest of the ice cubes to the blender. Turn it on high and blend for about 1 minute or until the mixture is slushy.

    • 5

Pour the drink into a glass and top it with the fat-free whipped topping. Drink immediately.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure your blender can handle ice.

  • If you do not have much time, use instant coffee for iced coffee drinks. It dissolves easier and you can bypass the microwaving step. Place all the ingredients into the blender and blend until slushy.

  • Working this recipe calls for adut supervision.
