Things You'll Need:
- Champagne flutes Ribbon Etching cream Adhesive stencil paper or pre-cut stencils Craft knife Foam brush Craft stick
-
Step 1
Trace your and your fiance's initials onto the the front of the stencil paper and cut out with a craft knife. Make sure to cut through the backing and the stencil paper. You can also purchase pre-cut stencils from craft and hobby shops. You can only use each stencil once, so purchase or cut enough for each glass.
-
Step 2
Peel the backing from the stencil paper or stencil and stick onto the champagne glass. Smooth out any bubbles with the craft stick, making sure that the stencil is adhered completely.
-
Step 3
Brush a layer of etching cream over the stencil, covering the exposed glass completely. Avoid getting cream onto exposed portions of the glass beyond the stencil. Wait 15 minutes.
-
Step 4
Rinse the glass under running water in a stainless-steel sink until the cream is completely removed, then carefully peel off the stencil. Wash and dry the glass.
-
Step 5
Use ribbon in a color that matches the wedding decor to tie a bow around the stem of the glass. Fill the glass with flowers or wedding favors.
-
Step 6
Repeat these steps for the number of glasses you will need either for centerpieces or to give one to each guest.
