How to Remove Rasautou.exe

Rasautou.exe is a system process used by the Microsoft Remote Access Dialer to make or receive calls via the computer modem. It is used by the system and by third-party applications to manage modem connections. It is not considered malicious spyware or malware and is generally non-essential unless you want your computer to automatically connect to other computers. Removing rasautou.exe from its destination folder ensures that it will not automatically run during computer startup.

Instructions

1. Press "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" together to open the Windows Task Manager. Click the "Processes" tab.

2. Scroll through and click "rasautou.exe." Click "End Process." If it is currently not a running process, move to the next step.

3. Double-click "My Computer" on the desktop and double-click the C: drive. Double-click the "Windows" folder and click the "System32" folder.

4. Right-click "Rasautou.exe" and click "Delete." Empty the recycle bin to complete the removal process.
