Things You'll Need:
- Cattle or livestock panel Four T-posts T-post driver, or large mallet Pliers Metal fence clips or twists
-
Step 1
Mark the spots where you intend to place the posts. Place posts on each side 36 inches apart (or equal to the width of the cattle panel). Place the two sides approximately 36 inches apart as well.
-
Step 2
Drive the stakes about 6 inches into the ground, or until the bottom spade, or metal triangle, is in the ground.
-
Step 3
Locate the center of the cattle panel (lengthwise). Lay the cattle panel flat on the ground, preferably on a hard surface like concrete, and place one foot on the edge at the center.
-
Step 4
Lift one end of the panel up and bend it over so that the panel bends at the center.
-
Step 5
Step on the bend, or apply pressure to make the bend permanent.
-
Step 6
Place the panel vertically against the posts, lining up the edges with the posts. Make sure the center bend is in the middle, creating an arch.
-
Step 7
Attach the panel to the T-posts, using metal fence clips and pliers. Alternately, tightly twist short lengths of wire to attach the panel to the T-posts.
