    Inside Mounts

  1. Step 1

Measure the width of the window inside the window frame. Measure from the left jamb to the right jamb. You can round the measurement down to 1/8 inch for an exact fit.

  2. Step 2

Measure the length of the window inside the window frame. Measure from the center left of the window to the top of the windowsill. Round down or up to the nearest 1/8 inch.

  3. Step 3

Make no adjustments to the measurements. The adjustments are automatic so that the head rail fits the size of the opening.

  4. Outside Mounts

  5. Step 1

Measure the width so that the head rail goes 4 inches past the window frame on each side.

  6. Step 2

Measure for the length. Start 3 inches above the window frame and go to 3 inches past the windowsill.

  7. Step 3

Deduct 1/2 inch from the shortage height if these blinds will go to the floor.
