Things You'll Need:
- textbook or other educational book
- day planner, teacher's lesson book or other log book
-
Step 1
Divide the book's chapters or sections by the amount of time available for study.
Browse through the chapters or sections of the book. If a book has, for instance, twelve chapters and you need to finish it in nine months, look for short chapters or simple chapters that you can group together. Allow more time for longer chapters or chapters with more difficult material. -
Step 2
Count the pages in each chapter or section
If chapter 1 has 20 pages, then you know you have to cover 4 pages per five day week to get through it in one week. Adjust for long/short pages and difficult material. Be sure to take into consideration time needed for quizzes or tests. -
Step 3
Write your lesson plan in a day planner, teacher's planning book or other log book. Be sure to list the pages and other work to be done each day.
For Example:
Monday August 20th- Read pages 1-4 and start related project x.
Tuesday August 21st- Read pages 5-6, continue project x.
Wednesday August 22nd- Read pages 7-13, continue project x.
Thursday August 23rd- Read pages 14-20, finish project x.
Friday August 24th- Test on Chapter 1 materials, project x presentation.
