How to Make Spider Cupcakes

I know this is not the time of year for these spider cupcakes, but Halloween will be here before we know it. You'll be well prepared for that big Halloween bash with these creepy yet delicious spider cupcakes. Go ahead make them early, freak the kids out, why not?

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Cake mix
• Gum drops
• black licorice
• colored icing in a squeeze tube (black)
• Tub of orange icing

1. Wash hands, prep area, gather all needed items and pre heat oven to 350.

2. Make the cake mix via the directions on the box. Inset cupcake holders into cupcake pan. Pour batter into the cupcake pan. Bake per instructions on cake box.

3. Remove from oven cool cupcakes for an hour (make sure the cupcakes are completely cool.

4. Cover the cupcakes with the orange icing. Use the black icing to make the spider webs. Make two circles inside each other, then make lines from side to side, to form the spider web.

5. Place the gum drop in the center of the spider web. Insert 6 small strips of black licorice under the gum drop.(3 on each side, to make the legs) Use the black icing to make two little dots on the gum drop to make the eyes.

6. Serve or refrigerate or later.

• The icing will hold the gum drop in place
