Pick a concealer shade that's slightly lighter than your skin tone.

A little concealer can go a long way toward brightening your look. You can choose from two types of concealer, depending on what you want to cover. A creamy concealer will hide dark circles under your eyes. A drier, thicker formula will cover dark spots and blemishes. No matter which you choose, use a gentle touch to blend so that the concealer doesn't cake and call attention to that which you wish to hide. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

For under-eye circles, choose a concealer that is a shade lighter than your skin tone.

    • 2

With a fine makeup brush, dab a small amount of concealer at the darkest part under your eye, usually the corner. With you finger, pat the concealer outward to cover the circles without removing the product from the starting point.

    • 3

For blemishes, dip a fine makeup brush into a drier, thicker concealer that is the same color as your skin. Dab the brush at the center of the blemish.

    • 4

Pat the concealer with your finger to blend. If your skin is dry at the blemish site, use tweezers to remove dry skin flakes.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can use concealer as foundation too. Just cover blemishes, under the eyes and blend some concealer on the nose and around nostrils where it is red the most. Use some loose powder.
