Determine your ideal heart rate for fat loss from this chart. You will want to keep your heart rate within this zone to maximize the effect to help you lose weight quickly.

  2. Step 2
    Heart Rate Monitor

Purchase a heart rate monitor or use a treadmill that has one built in. Use your heart rate monitor to make sure you stay within your ideal fat burning zone while walking.

  3. Step 3

Walk on an incline at least 30 minutes to one hour 3-4 days a week. The steeper the incline the slower you can walk. You can usually do this on a treadmill or by walking up and down a hill outdoor area.

  4. Step 4

Watch your heart rate. After 3-10 minutes of walking slowly on an incline, your heart rate will rise. Keep your heart rate in your optimal fat loss burning zone based on the chart from step one and within a few weeks you will see obvious fat loss.

Tips & Warnings
  • Walking first thing in the morning will put your metabolism into overdrive and help you lose weight faster.
  • If you are worried about walking to fast then know that you should be able to carry on a conversation while walking. If you cannot then you are probably walking to fast.
