How to Stop clothes from running or bleeding into other clothes

Colors can bleed into other clothes

Years of experience can tell you exactly what to do to prevent color clothes from running or bleeding into other clothes.

Instructions

1. 

   Did you ever wash an item with others only to have the color bleed or run into the other colors? Do not wash the clothes that say they are not color fast in the washing machine. If one item states to wash separately, the manufacturer means it. Avoid the washing machine even in cold water.

2. Wash item or items by hand with mild soap and cool or cold water. The cold water will keep the color from running or bleeding into other objects. Rinse by hand in cool or cold water too.

3. 

   Use 1/4 cup of white vinegar to wash water as instructed above in step two. If need be, add 1/4 cup to rinse water as well. Then rinse with clear rinse water again to removed the vinegar smell.
