How to Keep Flies Out of the House

Flies are the most annoying insect that can come into a house.

Summer heat brings many insects, one of them being the annoying fly. Personally, I absolutely despise flies being anywhere in my house. As soon as I begin to see them, I start making sure they are gone just as fast as they returned. Here is a great and inexpensive way to keep flies out of your house.

Things You'll Need

• Cloves
• Molding clay
• Small plate

Instructions

1. 

   Find a Mexican grocery store or go to the Mexican isle in your grocery store and locate the bags of seasoning. Once there, grab a few bags of cloves. Buying the bags of cloves is a lot cheaper then buying the bottle of cloves by about $3.00 per bag.

2. 

   Get some modeling clay from either your child's room, or go out and buy some from your local hobby store. You can even go to one of those $1 stores and pick some up there. Try and get a color that will go with the decor near your front and back doors.

3. Take out the cloves and the clay. Mold the clay into ball probably the size of a golf ball. Place about 20 cloves all around the ball of clay and place onto a small plate. Place the plate with the clove statue next to your front and back door and watch the flies disappear in no time!

Tips & Warnings

• If you do not want to use clay, you can use an apple. This however is only short lived since the apple will rot eventually.
