1
Hang a black light above a black-light poster in your home. These specially made posters will reveal unusual colors under the glow of the light.
-
2
Zigzag black lights across an entire ceiling for a dance club or party room. Buy long black lights and place one diagonally across the ceiling. Install the next one diagonally in the opposite direction so the lights make a loose V. Continue this pattern until the lights stretch from one end of the ceiling to the other.

3
Buy small black lights to hang by smaller displays or objects. Use several large black lights for larger objects. The light from a black light doesn't travel far, so the larger the object or the space you're trying to cover, the more lights you'll need.
-
4
Keep black light cords out of the way so people won't trip on them. Do not use black lights outside during rain or humid weather.
-
5
Use black lights in an area with little outside light. The less light in the room, the more visible the effects of the black light. Hang black curtains over windows to darken a room.
-
6
Buy fabric paint, pens and markers, and even outfits that are made specifically for use with a black light. You can decorate the room, and yourself, in various props that will interact with the black lights. Write notes on the walls or on paper with black-light markers; they can only be read with a black light.
-
7
Buy black-light paint to create pictures or cover walls. Hang a single black light above one picture to show it off, or hang several black lights at the top of the walls to show off an entire room.
-
8
Hang black light Halloween props, such as skeletons, on your porch and install a black light on the ceiling (or substitute a black-light bulb in your existing porch fixture).
