How to Convert a DVD to an LG Cell Phone

Download and install a free copy of DVD Shrink from a secure website (see Resources). Launch the program after you've completed the installation.

Insert your DVD into your computer's CD/DVD-ROM drive, and then click on the "Open Disc" option, located in the top right corner of DVD Shrink. A CD/DVD-ROM drive selection menu will appear. Select the drive into which you inserted the DVD.

Click on the option labeled "Backup Disk," and then click "Browse." Use the file pop-up explorer window to browse your computer for a location to store your ripped DVD file. Click on "Done" after you've selected a location.

Download and install a free copy of Ultra Mobile 3GP Video Converter from a secure website (see Resources). Launch the program after you've gone through installation wizard.

Open the location containing the DVD files ripped from DVD Shrink. The folder will contain multiple files; select the VOB video files. Drag and drop the VOB files into Ultra Mobile 3GP's Converter window.

Click on the list menu located next to the heading "Output Folder," and set a location where the converted 3GP files will go.

Start the conversion process. Click on the button labeled "Convert" at the top of the Ultra Mobile 3GP Video Converter.

Connect your LG phone to your computer via your phone's USB cable. After your computer auto-recognizes your phone, choose the option to open a folder and view the files on your cell phone. Drag and drop the converted 3GP files into the folder.
