If you wish to dispute a medical bill, you may have to contact different parties in order to have the account settled.

Type out the reason you feel you shouldn't have to pay these charges. Remember to record the name of every person you speak to in the billing department.

      Wait for a reply from the medical billing agency. If they will not adjust the charges, contact your insurance company about the issue. They can work with the medical biller to settle the charges. They may need to resubmit the claim in order to resolve the issue.

      Dispute the medical bill on your credit report. If the medical bill shows up on your credit report after you have resolved the issue. Contact the dispute department of the reporting agency to have it removed.
