A bronzer is a great way to have a sun-kissed appearance, without spending damaging hours under the sun. Bronzer doesn't act as a cover-up; instead it creates natural tanned details along the bone structure of your face. Matte bronzers, as compared to powder bronzers, allow for a more natural look and they even out the oils in your skin.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Matte bronzer Large soft bristled powder brush
  1. Step 1

Apply your makeup as usual. Bronzer is meant to accent the color of your skin, not to work as a cover-up. Apply concealer, foundation, powder and any other face makeup as normal. Refrain only from applying blush, which will be applied after the bronzer.

  2. Step 2

Prepare bronzer onto the makeup brush. Swirl your brush upon the surface of the bronzer compact in a circular motion. Tap excess powder off of the brush against the lid.

  3. Step 3

Swipe bronzer to create tanned accents. Do not apply bronzer over the entire surface of your face; it will look like a fake tan. Instead, swipe color along your jaw line in circular motions. In addition, apply color along your cheek bones, hairline and the bridge of your nose.

  4. Step 4

Even out your skin tone. After applying bronzer to the appropriate areas of your face, apply a quick layer of bronzer across your neck and chest. This will avoid creating a mask of color between your face and the rest of your skin.

  5. Step 5

Apply blush. To finish off your bronzed look, apply blush in the same fashion as you normally do. Pinks compliment a bronzed look very well and appear more natural than red tones.
