Step 1
Plug your mobile device into your desktop computer, using one of its USB ports. The software will recognize the device and the ActiveSync window will open.

Select "View" from the options at the top of the ActiveSync window, in order to change the view of the window and whether or not the toolbar and/or details will be viewable.

Select "Tools" and then "Options" in order to select which information (Contacts, Calendar or Email) you would like to synchronize between your desktop and Windows Mobile device.

Select "Tools," and then "Explore Pocket PC" in order to browse through the folders and files on your Windows Mobile device from the desktop screen.

Select "Tools." "Options," and then press the "Settings" button in order to select which device will have priority when there is a file conflict. (see graphic)

Finally, click the green button labeled "Sync" at the upper left of the main ActiveSync window, or select "File," and then "Synchronize" in order to synchronize files between the two devices.
