1
Use a paper cutter to cut the card stock to the size card you want. Most standard folded cards are 5.5 inches by 4.25 inches, 5.5 by 8.5 inches or 5 inches by 7 inches; however, you can make your hand made card any size you like, including square sizes like 6 inches by 6 inches. Fold the card stock in half vertically.

2
Cut a shape out of patterned paper using decorative scissors. Your shape can be square, rectangular, heart shaped or even triangular.

3
Cut a piece of ribbon the same width as the card stock using straight-edged scissors. Use a glue stick or other adhesive to attach the ribbon to the center of the card stock.

4
Attach the shape of patterned paper to the ribbon using a glue stick or other double-sided adhesive. Your shape does not have to be centered; you can place it to the left or right if you prefer.
-
5
Place a decorative 3-D sticker on the center of the patterned paper to complete the outside of your hand made card.
-
6
Write a personalized message inside the card that presents the reason for the occasion. Use a decorative pen or thin marker to write your message.
