How to Tell What Kind of Processor You Have
Are you trying to figure out what type of processor you have? Do you want to know how fast it is? Or how much memory is available for it to perform faster? The processor in your computer is responsible for running a vast array of applications on your system all at once, and you might want to know what you have so you'll know if it's adequate for your needs. Minimize all windows so that the desktop is visible.

Right-click "My Computer."

Select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. This opens up a "System properties" window.

Leave the window on the "General" tab and wait a few seconds for the information to load.

Look under the "Manufactured and Supported by" information under the General tab. This will tell you the manufacturer of your processor, how fast it is and the amount of RAM available.
