Rub-on stickers, also known as transfers, are used in scrapbooking and other paper crafts as an embellishment. They come on sheets containing multiple rub-ons that you will need to cut apart. They are very easy to use and add a professional touch even to novice pages. They sit flat on the page, and they will not peel off like traditional stickers and damage the paper. There are also no adhesives to work with.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rub-on stickers Scissors Craft stick
  1. Step 1

Cut out the sticker you will be using, separating it from the sheet.

  2. Step 2

Remove the back paper and set the rub-on sticky side down on the paper where you want it to go. If using single letter transfers, work with one letter at a time.

  3. Step 3

Rub the back of the sticker with a craft stick, pressing hard, while holding the rub-on steady with your other hand.

  4. Step 4

Peel up the corner of the sticker slowly, checking underneath to see that it transferred completely. If not, lay it back down and rub some more.

  5. Step 5

Peel off the sticker paper and place the next rub-on on the paper. Rub and repeat until done.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a rub-on alphabet to make your own headings and messages in your scrapbook. Use rub-on stickers in card making instead of printing a message.
  • Erasers can remove rub-ons, but test to make sure it doesn't damage your page.
