Unwrap the stick from its packaging and hold the tip under your urine stream. Or urinate into a cup and dip the stick into the cup.

Lay the stick on a flat surface and wait three to 10 minutes. A horizontal line will appear in the first window almost immediately to indicate that the test is working.

Look for a second line. If a second, vertical line shows up in the second window, it is a positive pregnancy result. If no second line appears, and the window remains unchanged, the result is negative.

These tests are available only at Wal-Mart. After 10 minutes, the test becomes invalid, as the lines may begin to evaporate, causing misleading results. If you receive a positive result, contact your doctor to confirm the pregnancy and your due date, and to set yourself on the road to a healthy pregnancy.
