How to Create a Data Recovery Agent in XP Professional

Microsoft Windows XP Professional includes a file and folder encryption technology named EFS (Encrypting File System). EFS allows users to prevent unauthorized access to selected data by encrypting the data. Once encrypted, your data will be unreadable by others unless you give them your encryption key or make them data recovery agents. If you do not want to share your encryption key, you can still grant others access to your encrypted data if you create a data recovery agent in XP Professional.
