Things You'll Need:
- Electric drill Two buffing pads Medium-cut rubbing compound Rags Paste wax for fiberglass (Gel Gloss)
-
Step 1
Wash counter top with warm water and liquid soap and rinse with plain water.
-
Step 2
Attach a buffing pad to your electric drill.
-
Step 3
Pour a half-dollar-sized glop of the buffing compound onto the scratched area of your cultured marble. Use the drill and the buffing pad to buff out the surface until the scratches disappear. It may be necessary to add a small amount of additional buffing compound in order to fully buff out the scratches, depending on how deep they are.
-
Step 4
Wipe the area down with a wet cloth, scrubbing all of the buffing compound off. Dry with a rag.
-
Step 5
Put a new, clean buffing pad on your drill and apply a liberal amount of paste wax (Gel Gloss is an excellent brand) to the cultured marble that you just buffed with the rubbing compound. Buff the area with the wax until it shines like new.
