How to Remove W32 Welchia.Worm

W32.Welchia.Worm is a malicious parasite that installs on your computer and exploits many system vulnerabilities. When it is executed, it copies itself to the system folder and exploits the DCOM RPC vulnerability using TCP Port 135. It specifically targets Windows XP machines. Removing W32.Welchia.Worm and all its associated parasites can be accomplished using a free and powerful anti-malware program that scans and detects it from root systems, files, folders and registry entries.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  1. Step 1

    Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for free (See Resources below) and install it on your computer.

  2. Step 2

    Launch the anti-malware program after it has installed and click the "Scanner" tab. Click the "Perform quick scan" radio button and click "Scan." Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware will search root systems, folders and registry keys for W32.Welchia.Worm parasites.

  3. Step 3

    Click "OK" when the scan is complete and click "Show scan results."

  4. Step 4

    Click all the detected W32.Welchia.Worm parasites and click "Remove Selected."
