How to Convert InDesign to Quark

If you are sending documents back and forth between you and a client or between you and other offices, you might occasionally find it necessary to convert one document format to another to meet the needs of the other party. Here, you will learn how to convert an InDesign document into a QuarkXPress document.

Instructions

1. Purchase and install the ID2Q (Adobe InDesign to QuarkXPress) plug-in for QuarkXPress. You install it by placing it in the QuarkXPress "Extensions" folder.

2. Open QuarkXPress. Go to the menu and select "Markzware." Select "ID2Q" and click "Convert."

3. Browse to the InDesign document you want to work with and open it. In the dialog box that opens, go with the default settings and click "OK." The document will now be converted and opened in QuarkXPress.
