How to Remove the Win32 Xorer Virus
A malicious program called the Win32 Xorer can affect the Windows operating systems such as XP or Vista. Win32 Xorer shuts down your pop-up blocking software, then redirects your web browser to other infected web pages any time you attempt a web search. The program will frequently launch pop-up ads that try to get you to buy fake software or download other infected files. You can remove the Win32 Xorer virus by running a standard anti-virus tool, but you will first need to prevent the virus from opening up its files.

Tips & Warnings
Restarting your computer in Safe Mode prevents the Win32 Xorer virus from opening up its files and attempting to download another copy of itself once the virus scan starts running.
Leaving the "System Restore" feature on will leave your computer exposed to possible reinfection in the future. This causes your computer to create a system restore point when your anti-virus tool begins its scan of the hard drive. The Win32 Xorer virus will still be stored on the restore point, and will reinfect your computer if you ever load the restore point.
