Instructions

  1. Creating a Lighted Floral Canopy

    • 1

Look at the ceiling above the bed and determine where you want the center of the canopy ring to be. Secure the hook attachment to the ceiling on this center mark.

    • 2

Wrap the pink lights around the vine area of the flower garland and use floral tape to secure it. Measure, and mark the half-way point on the flower garland so that an equal amount of it will drape down both sites of the canopy.

    • 3

Lay the mosquito netting out on the bed. Attach the lighted garland around the hoop of the canopy and along the sides of the opening by using T-pins. Attach both ends of the lighted garland strand to the hoop and allow the rest of it to fall into a loose loop over the canopy.

    • 4

Attach the decorated canopy ring to the ceiling hook by carefully standing on the bed, or if the ceiling is too tall, by moving the bed and using a ladder to reach the hook.

    • 5

Plug the light set into an extension cord which is connected to the closest electrical outlet. Use electrical tape to secure the cord along the bed frame or the wall to keep it safely out of the walkway.

Tips & Warnings

  • Choose a color of floral garland that best matches the bedspread or curtains. When wrapping the lights around the flower garland, make sure that the lights are not hidden by the flowers. Do not put lights on top of the flowers, just around the vine. Try plugging the strand of tiny lights into a timer, so that they are only on for a short period of time each evening.

  • Tiny lights are electrical devices, so they should not be left on while unattended. Don't overload electrical circuits as this can cause a fire. Check the strand of lights often for any defects.
