How to Set a House Cleaning Rate
Setting house cleaning rates depends on many factors, including the location of your clients, the going rate for house cleaners in your area, your expenses and the kind of cleaning you plan on offering your clients.
Instructions
-
-
1
Research the going rates for house cleaners in your area. Check out Craigslist.org and click on "Domestic" under "Gigs." You might want to undercut your competition or set comparable rates.
-
2
Visit PayScale.com to see what the median wages are for house cleaners in your state.
-
-
3
Charge based on the services you offer. For example, if you are doing deep cleaning, spring cleaning or one-time cleanings, you might want to charge more. If you are only doing dishes and laundry, you might want to charge less.
-
4
Increase your fees according to square footage of the homes you are cleaning.
-
5
Increase your fees if you are providing your own cleaning supplies, because these are part of your expenses. You might also want to consider increasing fees for homes that are out of a certain range to help with fuel costs.

I am looking for instructions on how to create rates or quotes for janitorial services. I wished for some instruction that would include samples on how to create these rates. If you have such instructions please let me know. I thank you in advance.
