Men with shorter hair have the option of simply washing their hair and then allowing the hair to dry as it is. Those with long, naturally curly hair, however, must take extra steps in order to have a controlled hair style that still looks natural. Otherwise, the untouched curly hair will look unkempt. Men with curly hair do not need to trim their hair in order to look polished. By following the steps below, you can style long curly hair for men.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A light hold moisturizing men's hairstyling cream
  1. Step 1

    Get your hair wet.

  2. Step 2

Squeeze a quarter sized amount of hairstyling cream into one hand.

  3. Step 3

Rub your hands together so that both hands are covered with the cream.

  4. Step 4

Work the product throughout your wet hair. The cream will provide light control and finish to the curly hair without making it stiff.

  5. Step 5

Separate one-inch sections of hair and twist each section with your pointer and middle finger so that you have a separate section of hair. When doing this, the hair should be in between your pointer and middle finger. Twist the section of hair into a "curly q."

  6. Step 6

Allow your hair to air dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not use hair gel, mousse or hair spray on men's hair. These products will make the hair look too still. Men's hair should not look overly styled. Instead, it should always maintain a natural look.
