Learn how to import an address book to your BlackBerry with ease! Following these simple steps, you can easily import the contacts from your Microsoft Outlook Express address book to your BlackBerry Smartphone!

Things You'll Need:

  • BlackBerry Phone
  • Outlook Express
  1. Step 1

    First, make sure if setting up your BlackBerry Smartphone for the first time that the battery is properly installed and charged.

  2. Step 2

    Next, open Outlook Express and navigate to "File > Import and Export".

  3. Step 3

    The "Import/Export Wizard" should now appear.

  4. Step 4

    Choose "Export to a file" and click on "Next".

  5. Step 5

    If using a Windows computer, choose the "Comma Separated Values" option and click "Next".

  6. Step 6

    Locate the folder that contains your address book file. Double-click on this file to select it.

  7. Step 7

    Click "Next", and then click on "Browse" to choose the location where your new .CSV file will be stored for later retrieval.

  8. Step 8

    Choose a relevant and easy to remember name for your new .CSV file. Make sure that the file contains the .CSV extension. You can do this by typing the following (with double quotes): "your_file_name.csv"

  9. Step 9

    Next, click on "OK" to export and save your new .CSV file.

  10. Step 10

    Click "Next" and then click on "Finished" to complete the export process.

    After creating your new .CSV file, log in to your "BlackBerry Internet Service" account.

    Next, click on the link titled "Address Book".

  13. Step 13

    From the navigation bar, simply click on "Import".

  14. Step 14

    Choose "Browse" to locate your .CSV address book file.

  15. Step 15

    After locating the file, double-click on it to select it.

  16. Step 16

    Click on "Add" to upload your .CSV address book file.

  17. Step 17

    That's it! Your imported contacts should now appear in the "BlackBerry Internet Service address book".
