Shenanigans Cake is the easiest and quickest cake you will ever make. It will also be the most deliciously addictive cake you will ever eat!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • German Chocolate Cake Mix
  • Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
  • Caramel Ice Cream topping
  • Cool Whip
  • Heath Bits
  1. Step 1

Choose your favorite german chocolate cake mix and follow the directions on the box. You can make the german chocolate cake from scratch if you choose, but I have found that Betty Crocker's SuperMoist German Chocolate Cake makes it every bit as tasty.

  2. Step 2

Once the cake is fully baked and you have it out of the oven, place the can of Eagle Brand Condensed Milk in a bowl or small pot, and fill it with hot water until it reaches halfway up the can of milk and let it sit for 3-5 minutes.

  3. Step 3

While the condensed milk sits in the hot water, use a wooden spoon to poke holes in the top of your cake. The holes should be about 3/4 of an inch apart.

  4. Step 4

Fill the holes with the Eagle Brand Condensed Milk.

  5. Step 5

Drizzle caramel ice cream topping over the cake. You can add a little caramel to each hole as well.

  6. Step 6

Cover the cake entirely with Cool Whip.

  7. Step 7

Sprinkle Heath bits over the top of the cake and you are done!!

Tips & Warnings
  • When you fill the holes with condensed milk, fill it to the top of the hole once. The milk will absorb quickly and the hole will look empty. Do not refill it. Too much will make the cake too soggy. (Unless you like it that way, I have accidentally put to much in and it was still very tasty)
  • You can eat the cake while it is still warm; however it tastes a lot better after it has been thoroughly chilled in the refrigerator.
  • You may use the stove to heat the water if you choose, but make sure the water does not get too hot. You want to be able to stick a finger in the water without burning yourself.

on 9/2/2009 Sounds yummy. I make a rum cake with boiled rum and sugar poured all over it. The sauce makes it moist.
