Things You'll Need:
- German Chocolate Cake Mix
- Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
- Caramel Ice Cream topping
- Cool Whip
- Heath Bits
-
Step 1
Choose your favorite german chocolate cake mix and follow the directions on the box. You can make the german chocolate cake from scratch if you choose, but I have found that Betty Crocker's SuperMoist German Chocolate Cake makes it every bit as tasty.
-
Step 2
Once the cake is fully baked and you have it out of the oven, place the can of Eagle Brand Condensed Milk in a bowl or small pot, and fill it with hot water until it reaches halfway up the can of milk and let it sit for 3-5 minutes.
-
Step 3
While the condensed milk sits in the hot water, use a wooden spoon to poke holes in the top of your cake. The holes should be about 3/4 of an inch apart.
-
Step 4
Fill the holes with the Eagle Brand Condensed Milk.
-
Step 5
Drizzle caramel ice cream topping over the cake. You can add a little caramel to each hole as well.
-
Step 6
Cover the cake entirely with Cool Whip.
-
Step 7
Sprinkle Heath bits over the top of the cake and you are done!!

on 9/2/2009 Sounds yummy. I make a rum cake with boiled rum and sugar poured all over it. The sauce makes it moist.
