Step 1
Devote your life to God. Keep in mind that God should go above everything else. Make him the true LORD of your life, making you his SERVANT. Submit all authority to him and make sure your days start off with him. The same way an employee sacrifices time to go off to work for a paycheck at the end of the week, a Christian should devote himself to God and serve him for soul salvation at the end of his life. Keep in mind, the reward for serving God is far more greater than any other.
-
Step 2
Keep your life balanced. There is time for worship and service just like there is time for friends and leisure time. Be aware of the importance of giving God his place in your life. Be sure to surrender your life to him.
-
Step 3
Don't get caught up with negative influences which will affect your Christian walk. Stay away from worldly infections which will hinder your growth and relationship with God. Remain aware of what affects your attitude, your thoughts, your actions and your desire to be better.
-
Step 4
Continue allowing your spirit to grow. Prayer time and reading your bible will allow your faith to strengthen. Make sure to engage in daily time with God to allow this to happen.
-
Step 5
Keep your passion for God alive and strong. Be aware of temptations around you which only want to separate you from the love of God. Be firm when setting your priorities and follow through with God's plan for you.

on 7/12/2009 This from a fellow Christian: For those who "would't preach so much" - don't. You're obviously not a Christian, so why bother to read something you think is worthless? As for me, I will follow The Lord as well as the excellent advice in this well written article. Thank you. 5*****
