Children will learn a fun craft that is easy and it will be remembered always. A great project to do in Bible School. After decorating the vase you may want to give as a gift to the child's grandparents. Put the child's name and age on the bottom of the vase. The vase can also be used for holding pencils, pens or crayons. A great Father's day or Mother's day gift. It can also be used for coins, which will teach the child to save their money.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • vase
  • tissue paper
  • glue
  • bowl
  • water
  • disposable gloves
  1. Step 1

You will need a vase, any size or color. The smoother the surface on the vase, the easier the tissue paper will adhere.

  2. Step 2

Cut several different colors of tissue paper in random shapes. Choose a lot of different colors.

  3. Step 3

Mix glue and just enough water to where it looks like the consistency of broth, in a bowl. Stir the mixture.

  4. Step 4

Dip each cut out piece of tissue paper into the glue mixture. Take off excess.

  5. Step 5

Adhere to vase, holding in place for about 30 seconds. Continue this process, taking care to overlap all the pieces, till vase is fully covered.

  6. Step 6

Let dry 24 hours. Decorate with ribbon or beads around the neck of the vase.
