Instructions

    • 1

Wear shoes and socks that fit. Poorly fitting shoes and socks create friction, so preventing the friction will help stop the callus from growing.

    • 2

Talk with a podiatrist, a foot doctor, about ways to adjust the pressure on your feet. A podiatrist may prescribe an insole to help.

    • 3

Take a shower or bath to clean your feet and soften the skin. Or simply soak your feet in water for several minutes. While the skin is soft, exfoliate the callus with a pumice stone to flake off or remove some of the dead skin. Repeat each day until the callus is gone.

    • 4

Daily moisturize your feet to soften a callus and to keep the skin from drying out.

Tips & Warnings

  • If a callus has dried out and cracked or become infected, see a doctor for treatment.
