If you are having friends and family over for July 4th, it's fun to have a small goody bag for the kids to give them nsomething to do. Here are some cute favor ideas for kida and adults as well.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Favor Bags: Your kids can help with this one: Decorate paper bags with patriotic flags, fireworks, or whatever you like. Tape curling ribbon to the top edges of the bags to look like "Fireworks" coming out. Filler ideas: bubbles, pinwheels, candy, party poppers, parachute men, sidewalk chalk.

  2. Step 2

Firecracker Surprise: Fill an emty toilet paper tube (or half a paper towel roll) with candy and other small treats. Cut three squares of tissie paper about three inches longer than tube, wrap and tie at the ends with curling ribbon.

  3. Step 3

Buy small terra cotta flower pots, one per guest. Paint the brim of the pot green and the rest pink. Add black dots to look like a watermelon. Fill with candy and wrap in cellephane, or transplant a marigold, tomato, or other desired plant.

  4. Step 4

Crayon Firework: Stick Crayons into a two inch foam ball to make "fireworks". Hand out with inexpensive activity pads or coloring books.

  5. Step 5

Small flags, sparklers and party poppers also make fun favors to hand out. (Be careful with sparklers, of course!)
