Things You'll Need:
- WD40
- Wash Rag
-
Step 1
Photo by Nathaniel CarrollOpen the squeaky cabinet door and locate the hinges. Check the screws and fasteners on each hinge to make sure it is not loose. If it is a little loose, tighten the hinge with a screwdriver. If the squeak persists, continue to steps 2 and 3.
-
Step 2
Photo from Cyclegear.comSpray a small amount of WD-40 on the hinge (spray for about 1 second) with the applicator straw. Wipe any excess drip with a rag or paper towel. As a rule, it is always a good idea to read the label on any chemical you are using. Check for safety warnings and other instructions to protect yourself.

Step 3

on 7/1/2009 Great tips! I'm always first to quickly grab the WD-40 can as soon as I hear a hinge squeak, I just can't stand the sound.
