Search online for cheap ink cartridges. Many websites offer cheap ink cartridges because they buy them in bulk and sell them separately. You can usually find good deals on common ink cartridges. If you have a printer that uses hard to find ink cartridges you will probably save more money in the long run if you buy a new printer that uses common ink cartridges.

You can also buy cheap ink cartridges in bulk. If you know that you are going to have your printer for the next couple of years you can buy ink cartridges in bulk. Stores usually offer packs of 5 or sometimes even 10 ink cartridges at a much lower price than buying them separately.

Check Biglots. Biglots will sometimes sell cheap ink cartridges. Make sure that you check the expiration date on these though. Stay away from ink cartridges that are past their expiration date. You can also check the clearance section of your local Walmart. They will usually discount ink cartridges that are nearing their expiration date.

Have your ink cartridges refilled. Many companies offer to refill your ink cartridges for a low price. One company that I have used is Walgreens. They only charge $10 to refill your ink cartridge and they work like new!
