How to Make a Superhero 3D Character
Comic books and the movies based on them are really in right now. Their popularity has reached the point that many people are creating their own fan versions of their favorite characters, sometimes even in 3D graphics and animation programs. If you would like to create a 3D version of your favorite character, you will want to get a program like Poser Pro or Daz Studio (freeware) that can host some of the 3D models that are available, and some clothing items and props to transform the figures.

Creating a Superhero
-
1
Sign up for a site like Animotions, which has tons of free 3D props and clothing items. Animotions specifically focuses on superheroes.
-
2
Browse through the available items, downloading the ones you want. Make sure that the clothing items you get are designed to be used for the figures you have in your program. For instance, if you are using the James character in Poser, you will not be able to use a shirt or pants designed for Michael 3.

-
3
Extract the clothing items to your program. The necessary paths to the correct folders should be there already.
-
4
Open your program and go to your "Figures" library. Select the figure you want to use, and load it into the scene. Then go back to either the "Figures" or the "Props" library and load the clothing items onto the character.
-
5
Select the clothing item in the scene. Select "Figure" from the menu, and click "Conform To." In the dialog that opens, select the figure you want the clothing to conform (or stick) to. Do the same for every other clothing item you add to the figure. Your superhero is now ready to pose and render.
