How to Make Your Own Tech Deck Board

Tech Deck mini fingerboards are one of the most popular toys and collectibles amongst skateboarders and skateboarding enthusiasts. You can make your very own Tech Deck with the right tools and supplies and fully customize it anyway you want.

• Two sheets of veneer Wood glue Scissors Sandpaper Clamps Metal file

Instructions

Making a Tech Deck

1. Make a template out of paper. Draw a skateboard shape on a piece of paper and then cut the template out of the paper.

2. Take your scissors and cut the veneer sheets down into three pieces with the wood grain going vertical and two pieces with the grain going horizontal.

3. Trace the template on the veneer sheets and then cut out the skateboard shapes. Use wood glue to glue all the layers together.

4. Place two clamps on the ends of the skateboard shapes. This will form the tails of the board. Place two more clamps along the long edges of the board. This will form the rails of the board.

5. Run the metal file along the edges of the board to remove the excess glue from the board.

6. Drill holes for the trucks in the top of the board. Cut a small piece of grip tape to put on the top of the board.
