Computer files today tend to be larger than ever because they often contain graphics, and video and sound files. While these multimedia elements are nice, their size presents problems when one wishes to email or transfer these files. Many email service providers limit the message size to 10 MB. To transfer bigger files up to 1 GB in size, you can follow a few relatively easy steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open your web browser and go to the following URL:
    http://www.transferbigfiles.com/

  2. Step 2

    Click on "Browse" button.

  3. Step 3

Locate the file on your computer that you wish to transfer and double-click on it.

  4. Step 4

Type the email address of the person to whom you want to transfer the file in the box labeled "Recipient Email."

  5. Step 5

Check the small box that reads "I own the rights to the file(s) I am sending." Click on the "Send It" button and you are finished. You have transferred the big file and your recipient will receive an email with a link to download the message.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use of this service requires that you own the rights to the files that you want to transfer.
