Things You'll Need:
- Blu-ray DVD Ripper
-
Step 1
Download and install the Blu-ray DVD Ripper program from the iToolsoft software website (see Resources). There is a free trial with the Blu-ray DVD Ripper, but to keep the program you will have to pay. 2009 Blu-ray DVD Ripper cost: $49.95.
-
Step 2
Close any open programs on your computer. Insert your Blu-ray DVD into the DVD drive on your computer. If it starts to auto play or opens any other programs, be sure to cancel or close the program.
-
Step 3
Launch the Blu-ray DVD Ripper on your computer. Locate the "Profile" field at the bottom of the screen. Click on the field to open up the pop out menu. Select MP4 from the PSP option.
-
Step 4
Open your Blu-ray DVD by clicking the "Open DVD" button. It is located on the lower-left corner of the screen and features a blue DVD with a green plus sign on it.
-
Step 5
Rip the Blu-ray file from the DVD by clicking on the "Rip DVD" button. It is located on the lower-right corner and has two green arrows on it. When you click this button, it will rip the Blu-ray file from the DVD and convert it to the PSP format. The conversion is fairly quick; when it completes, the Blu-ray DVD Ripper program will close automatically and eject the Blu-ray DVD from the drive. When it does this, you will be able to use the new PSP file.
