Dual layer DVDs use, as the name suggests, two data layers to encode data onto the disc's surface. This second layer allows for nearly twice the data storage capacity over a single layer disc and is helpful for large files or sets of files. With their high level of data capacity, dual layer DVDs are very popular among home and enterprise level users. Copying a dual layer DVD is a process any computer user can perform easily with just a little knowledge and the right tools.
