Now that we have our trailer hitch installed in the Chevy Aveo, we can now install the wiring harness. So let’s get started, just follow the steps below to continue.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

We have to take off two panels in the trunk, the one on the side and the one in front of you.

  2. Step 2

Remove the wiring connector that is connected to the light bulbs.

  3. Step 3

Test for a running light circuit. Test for turn signals and braking.

  4. Step 4

Once you find the wires for the turn signals and braking, you are going to wire tap those wires.

  5. Step 5

Get the wiring harness. Connect the wiring harness to those wires.

  6. Step 6

Now let’s mount the ground wire. Find a good spot on the body of the car. Then screw the ground wire on that part of the body of the car.

  7. Step 7

Put all your components back and you are done. Just test the wiring connector to make sure it works.
