Mix equal parts rubbing alcohol and water. According to professors at the University of Missouri Extension, this will help remove the mildew.

Use the alcohol mixture on a corner of your leather good to make sure your kind of leather will react well to the treatment.

Add some of the alcohol mixture onto a soft cloth or towel, and rub down the leather product.
