Draw Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts is a visually stunningly video game. The creators of this video game combined familiar Disney characters with traditional Final Fantasy style characters created by Square Enix. This blending of genres was received with open arms by fans of both Disney and Square Enix roleplaying games. One of the main characters in the series is Goofy, who sports an outfit typical of many Square Enix characters combined with his Disney character look. He uses a shield, and wears baggy and slightly industrial clothing with many pockets and gadgets. Drawing this character can be a great way to create your own homage to this beautiful game.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper Pencil Black ink pen Kneaded eraser
  1. Step 1

Draw two circles for the head of Goofy. Place one circle on top of the other and make the circles slightly overlap. Draw a rectangular shape for the body of Goofy. Make this shape long and thin. Add the pelvis guideline with an upside down triangular shape just below the body. This will help you place the legs. Draw the guidelines for the legs with diagonal lines coming out from the hips. Draw the arms with diagonal lines coming off of the top left and right of the body. Add hand guidelines with a circle at the end of each arm.

  2. Step 2

Draw the ears with a long, slightly curved rectangle coming out of the left and right sides of the upper circles. Draw the nose with a slightly oblong oval attached to the upper left side of the bottom face circle. Draw the eyes with a rectangular shape that curves down in the middle to separate the two eyes. Draw two ovals inside this shape for pupils. Add two small square shapes to the top of Goofy's head to create his goggles. Add a cylinder on top of his head and another smaller cylinder on top of the first. Draw a large sideways teardrop shape to complete Goofy's hat.

  3. Step 3

Draw Goofy's shirt sleeves by drawing a baggy curved line that widens at the bottom like a bell shape. Add Goofy's vest with two diagonal rectangles running down the left and right sides of Goofy's body. Add Goofy's pants with parallel lines along the left and right sides of the leg guidelines. Draw his shield with a semicircle around the right side fist.

  4. Step 4

Create Goofy's mouth with a curved line running across the middle of the bottom face circle. Draw two square shapes poking out from the bottom of this line for the character's buckteeth. Add pockets to each side of the vest with two square shapes, one on top of the other. Add the belt with a band around Goofy's waist. Add the buckle with a square shape in the center of the belt. Add another smaller square shape inside the first. Draw a small horizontal rectangle inside the belt buckle.

  5. Step 5

Add pockets to the pants with rectangles on the bottom left and right sides of Goofy's legs. Draw Goofy's fingers on the right side hand with three vertical oblong ovals. Attach a horizontal oval to the top of the fingers.

  6. Step 6

Erase any overlapping guidelines. Ink the entire drawing of the Kingdom Hearts Goofy with a black ink pen. Darken in the top and side of the head, ears, pupils and nose. Let the ink dry and carefully erase the pencil lines underneath.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can color this illustration of the Kingdom Hearts Goofy by creating a photocopy of Goofy in Step 5 and coloring it with art markers. This will allow you to color the image without ruining your original illustration.
  • Be sure to let the ink dry thoroughly before erasing the pencil lines or the ink will smudge. This is especially true around the ears, pupils and nose.
