The royal flush is the highest scoring hand in poker. It consists of five cards of the same suit (all spades, diamonds, clubs, or hearts) that range from the ace to the ten (ace, king, queen, jack, ten). It is the hardest poker hand to achieve.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Shuffle the deck of cards and deal out five cards.

  2. Step 2

Check your hand. Look to see if you have an ace, king, queen, jack, or ten of the same suit (hearts, clubs, spades, or diamonds).

  3. Step 3

Keep the ace, king, queen, jack, or ten of the same suit and return the rest of the hand to the bottom of the deck. Take from the top of the deck the number of cards returned to the bottom of the deck. If your hand did not produce an ace, king, queen, jack or ten of the same suit, return all five cards and draw a new hand.

  4. Step 4

Continue repeating steps one through three. The probability of achieving this hand is extremely small: less than 1 percent. It is not likely you will produce the desirable result on the first try.

Tips & Warnings
  • There is no easy way to do this. As with any game of cards, the trick is simply to be lucky. Be patient and persistent.
