Find the exact amount of gallons that you want to convert to liters. For this example, pretend you wish to convert 2.10 gallons to liters.

Multiply the number of gallons by the 3.7854 mentioned in Step 2. For this example, multiply 2.10 (the number of gallons mentioned in Step 2) by 3.7854 (the number of liters in 1 gallon). The equation would read "2.10 x 3.7854." Your answer would then be 7.9493.

Tips & Warnings
You may notice that you get 2 slightly different answers if you use a calculator and then check your answer using the website. This is because the website goes past the decimal point when converting 1 gallon to liters. The difference between the two is not significant enough, however, to make one method better than the other.
