How to Install the Sims 2 Game

The Sims 2 is a life simulation computer game released by Electronic Arts (EA) in 2004. The Sims 2 comes with three custom neighborhoods as well as custom families and characters. A person can also choose to design their own Sims, characters and houses. The Sims 2 has released eight expansion packs and ten "Stuff" packs since The Sims 2 was released. Registering on The Sims 2 web page after installation makes more features accessible, such as the ability to buy custom items, create character bios and post on the forums with other Sims players.

• The Sims 2 installation disc

Instructions

1. Insert The Sims 2 disc into your computer.

2. 

   Click "Next" on the welcome screen of the installation.

3. 

   Choose the directory you would like to install Sims 2 to and click "Next".

4. 

   Pick a name (or use the one available) for the Start Menu folder and click "Next."

5. 

   Check the box next to "Create a desktop icon" if you'd like one and click "Next."

6. 

   Verify the name and location for the installation and click "Install."

7. 

   Wait for the installation to complete. Depending on your computer speed, the installation can take from a few minutes to an hour or so. Insert the next disc, if required (a screen will pop up asking for it).

8. 

   Click "Finish" when the installation completes.
