There is nothing worse than being constantly harrased and harangued by the people in your life. Family, friends, bill collectors, and the general planet does not seem to take the clue when you simply say, "Please leave me alone." There is however an excellent solution to the problem: making yourself scarce so that you will actually have time for yourself. People won't know where you are, even though you may pop up periodically to prove to them you are alive and all right. Here is how you can be successfully left alone without any protesting from anyone:

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • yourself
  1. Step 1

Take off for your local library. Be sure to bring your iPod with you. Find the most quiet place you can, and do your reading, homework, write a story on your laptop, or anything else on your computer that strikes your fancy. Make time for some lunch so you don't get hungry.

  2. Step 2

Shut off that cell phone already. Texting is provoking for many people. Do not give out your number to anyone, either. How are you going to have any time for yourself if you spend it all texting?

  3. Step 3

Take a small day trip somewhere, like a museum or national park. Just think of the peace and tranquility that comes with a hike through the woods, observing nature, and feeling whole just by enjoying wildlife and the flowers. Museums are great for appreciating art, history, and culture.

  4. Step 4

Don't forget to go home for some shut-eye. Just make sure you do it when everyone else in your house is asleep. That way, you won't be forced to play Fifty Questions as to where you were all day.

  5. Step 5

When all else fails, hide in your closet, and take a nap.
